Description

Soudal Firecryl FR is a fire-resistant, smoke-tight, plasto-elastic sealant that intumesces under heat and is ideal for interior fire-rated sealing applications.

Features

• Prevents the passage of fire and smoke
• Expands when exposed to temperatures above 120°C
• Can be painted over after curing
• Very easy to apply
• Permanently elastic after curing
• Colourfast and waterproof after curing
• Excellent adhesion on many porous materials

Applications

• Fire-resistant and smoke-tight indoor sealing
• Part of the ‘Soudal Fire Range’ for penetration seals and joints
• Sealing fire-retardant joints in walls and ceilings
• Filling fire-retardant cracks in concrete and plasterwork
• Ideal for areas where the sealant needs to be overpainted with water-based paints and varnishes

Shelf life:

At least 12 months in unopened packaging stored between +5°C and +25°C

Notes

• Do not use in applications with continuous water immersion
• Paintable with most paints – test compatibility before use
• Ensure the paint is elastic enough for plasto-elastic sealants
